“I was so excited to have [Meghan] perform our ceremony music. She played beautifully and even was able to compose and play a song that meant a lot to my husband and me. She was very collaborative and consulted with us early and allowed us to personalize the musical experience as much as possible. Can’t thank her enough!”

“We were so grateful that Meghan Davis performed at our wedding. She was such a pleasure to work with leading up to the event; her repertoire is voluminous and varied, and she helped us refine our musical selections when we needed assistance. We will fondly remember Meghan’s pleasant, professional demeanor and her talent on the harp, accompanied by her gifted voice, as we think back to our beautiful wedding day. She can bring light to any event, and we offer our strongest recommendation that she brighten yours!”

“Meghan is wonderful to work with! She played for my sister’s wedding in 2016 and we recently hired her again to play for another sister’s cocktail hour after her small ceremony last month. It was absolutely lovely, as expected! Meghan has a wealth of repertoire and I was able to pick and choose what pieces we wanted for each event. Meghan works hard to personalize your event and stays in close contact with you prior to. Her playing is absolutely exquisite. Thank you Meghan!”

“Meghan is an incredibly talented harpist and just amazing to work with. We found that our final budget allowed us to work with a ceremony musician at the very last minute and although our timeline was tight, Meghan was very accommodating and worked quickly to ensure that our music selection and the arrangements for her performance were locked in for the big day. Her repertoire is incredibly well-rounded, she plays everything from classical to contemporary pieces and we were so thrilled with our music selection. Our guests were in awe of how beautiful the harp sounded during the ceremony and cocktail hour and raved about her performance. I would say that hiring Meghan was one of the best and most memorable choices we made that big day, since the music was extremely moving and just added such a special touch to the ceremony. We are so thankful that she was willing to work with us and I highly recommend her to anyone in need of live musical accompaniment for a wedding!”

“My mom spent a good part of her 93 years as a kindergarten teacher in a Catholic school. She wasn’t a great musician herself but she loved to sing to her students. Her favorite song was “Simple Song” for Leonard Bernstein’s “Mass”. It opens with, “Sing God a simple song, make it up as you go along, for God is the simplest of all.” It is a wonderful lesson to teach and fully embodies my mom’s spirit. I asked Meghan if she knew it. She didn’t but she promised to search out the music and learn it for the funeral. We carried my mom’s ashes down the aisle accompanied by this song and Meghan’s incredibly wonderful talent, both as a harpist and a singer. Somewhere in her musicianship, I could hear those thousands of kindergarten voices who once learned this song from my mom. Like all great artists, Meghan’s talent captures the truth of a moment and a person. The commendation prayer at the end of a Catholic funeral begins with “May the angels lead you into paradise…” Thanks to Meghan, we were all lucky enough to know what that experience must be like.”
